I'm a multimedia artist working with paint, canvas, paper, wood, stone, steel and various reclaimed materials. I paint, draw, assemble, and construct in both 2-D and 3-D formats. My family, Jade Clement, and our two daughters Isla (5) and Ruby (2) currently live in Salt Lake City, Utah. When we're not attending to the details of city and family life, we can usually be found on the rivers of Idaho or Montana – fishing, hiking camping and taking in fresh mountain air.
I was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on March 28, 1964 and was raised in Hailey, Idaho. After briefly attending Boise State University from 1982 to 1984, I transferred to the University of Utah in 1985 where I studied fine arts, illustration and graphic design. In 1991 I co-founded the firm Huddleston Malone Design, a graphic design, branding and marketing group, where I was creative director and a managing partner until 2002. From 1996 to 1998, I was the President of the American Institute of Graphic Design (AIGA), Salt Lake City Chapter. During my tenure at HMD, I was published in Communication Arts, Step-by-Step Graphics, HOW Design, and “Graphis” Design. In addition, I received numerous industry awards including those from the Utah Advertising Federation and the AIGA. In 2002 I shifted my focus to fine arts, specifically painting and sculpting. I have been producing art consistently since 2002, as well as supervising ongoing branding campaigns for various corporate accounts. Read more
